Casa LaSasso

Just got back from a 3 nighter at Casa Lasasso and had a blast! Flew into MGA and rented a car for about 30 bucks per day. The hardest part about the drive is getting out of Managua but that really isnt even that much of a challenge. Look at the map, head to Masachapa, then ask around where the Gringo lives. hahah Masachapa is a very special town with fun bars and great people. We staggered around at 2 in the morning after a few too many Tonas and never felt even slightly endangered. Immediately next door to Casa Lasasso is a lady who will cook your meals, make you coffee and even do a little laundry for you! The food was amazing! About a mile or so south of Masachapa is Ponchomil where we surfed the first day. It was descent; about waist high, off shore winds and NO CROWD!! :) Day 2 we surfed San Diego, about an hour north (fun car ride, highly recommended). San Diego was bigger, more consistent and alot of fun too. Franky (owner at La Sasso) has connections with alot of people down there so anything you need help with, he can hook you up. He hooked us up with a local surfer who we paid to show us around for the 2 days. Very very inexpensive.

Have fun and I hope this info helps!!
